'Glasgow based Paul Robertson’s photography practice is mostly devoid of human figures but remains full of humanity’s traces. The emptiness of the landscape and architectural imagery is one of desertion, suggesting an action only momentarily lulled. For the Trinity series the Scottish artist travelled to Tucson, Arizona and embarked on a night photography series in which he caught the small suburban town during its evening downtime. The uncertainty of the darkness is counteracted by the obvious neatness and safety of the maintained scenery. The Tempted on Mount Lemon series takes on a similar community, moving the aesthetic to daylight and dusk which allows the viewer to enjoy Robertson’s capture of form and shape within his careful composition.Paul Robertson is based in Glasgow, Scotland.'
